Dr. Ruby Chow

My love for all animals big and small started as a child, and over the years I managed to add fish, a hamster, guinea pigs, a bird, a snake, a horse, a rabbit, dogs, and a cat to the menagerie! 

I completed my bachelors of science in animal biology and pursued every opportunity to work with animals, including research in South Africa, medical animal laboratories, equine and livestock farms, and the Toronto Zoo!  I dedicated a lot of my undergraduate career to animal welfare science and knew that becoming a veterinarian would give me the opportunity to have a positive impact on animals for the rest of my life!

After graduating from the Ontario veterinary College in 2022, I spent 2 years completing an internship and working as an equine veterinarian. I then decided to return closer to home and joined the amazing team at Coxwell Animal Clinic. I love all aspects of general practice but do have a special interest in pain management, behaviour, and senior pet care. 

I live with my fiancé and our cat Velcro, we love to hit the ski slopes in the winter and battle the bugs up north in the summer!
