Protect your cat from these pesky pests with a parasite prevention plan.
Everyone loves summer. Unfortunately, along with the warm weather and the sunshine comes to those pesky little fleas! They can jump from other pets or wildlife through the environment and onto your pet. Fleas are not just a nuisance, they can also cause serious problems for you and your pets.
Fleas are insects that can infest your pet. They bite your pet, take a blood meal and then jump off to lay hundreds of eggs in their environment (this may include your home).
Cats can be very sensitive to fleas. Some cats develop flea allergy dermatitis which is very itchy and painful. Fleas can transmit tapeworms (a gastrointestinal parasite) as well as blood-borne parasites to your cat. In large numbers, fleas can cause anemia from the relentless blood meals.
No one wants a flea infestation in their home or on their pets. Prevention is easier and cheaper than having to deal with an outbreak. Your cat will thank you for that!
Using a monthly spot-on flea preventative is the best way to prevent your cat from bringing home those pesky fleas.
